To Love or Not to Love
by Gary H. To love or not to love, That is the question. To love is most simple, But to have it taken away, Now that is most cruel. 'Tis a breakdown of mind, heart, and soul, The make-up of a human. For it mutates even the most pure to feed on control of sanity, While seeking paths to one 'twas lost. Once chooses the war they fight, For the greatest battles are those not fought with anger nor vengeance, But fought with the heart. The heart, 'tis not an arm nor a leg, 'Tis what gives life. A heart is the symbol of love and without love we doth not live. Love, 'tis what gives life . . . and takes it away, 'Tis the greatest war we all fight. |
