Summer
By Yia Yang I stand up, To the smell of BBQ ribs, To the splashing of the sun heated water And the taste of cold ice cream. I ponder, As the taste of fresh water touches my lips. And the cool breeze going through my shirt On a scorching day Reminds me of Spain and its sandy beaches, And the sweet chirping of crickets at night. |
