Darkness by Connor Adams
Darkness
Darkness all encompassing
Swallowing the day and giving way to night
A deep blackness that rings of dark tales of the old world
An ingrained ancestral fear of all that is night
But even in the deepest dark the blackest night
There will always be the light
The glow of a high wolf moon
Lighting up the cold winter nights
It is a cold unforgiving light
A light that has watched us since the beginning
But it is still light
And where there is light
There is hope and where there is hope
There is life
Darkness all encompassing
Swallowing the day and giving way to night
A deep blackness that rings of dark tales of the old world
An ingrained ancestral fear of all that is night
But even in the deepest dark the blackest night
There will always be the light
The glow of a high wolf moon
Lighting up the cold winter nights
It is a cold unforgiving light
A light that has watched us since the beginning
But it is still light
And where there is light
There is hope and where there is hope
There is life
